1.     Symonston 2k.4k.9k  - Saturday 1st June – Callum Brae Nature Park

This Saturday, club events will be conducted at Callum Brae Nature Park off Narrabundah Lane, Symonston.

10am 2km, 10.15am 4k and 9k at 11am. The 9k is a club senior point score event.

This is a good run in a beautiful nature park and makes a nice break from our weekly runs at Stromlo Forest Park.

2.       Jogalong Sunday 2nd June – Grevillea Park – East Basin

Our monthly Jogalong for women and girls continues at Grevillea Park.  The Jogalong a 6k Handicap event starts at 9am start. In the Jogalong the walkers and slower runners start first.  A 3k none handicap event starts with Group One Jogalong.

A 1.6km Mini Jog for young children starts at approximately 9.10am.

3.      Australian Mountain Running Championships, Mt Stromlo, Sunday 2 June

The Australian Mountain Running Championships will be conducted over a 4 km loop starting and finishing at the summit of Mt Stromlo, on Mt Stromlo (NOT Stromlo Forest Park). This is similar to this year's World Championship course in Poland on 8 September. The Championships cater for all age groups from 16 years to age 75 years and over. See Mark Bourne, Martin Dent and Melissa Clarke in action against the best in Australia. The race program is:

 

8.45am Australian Junior Women’s 4 km & Veteran Women’s W60 and over 4 kms

8.50am Australian Open Women’s and W35 to W55 8 kms

9.20am Australian junior men’s 8 kms

9.45am Australian open men’s and M40 to M50 12 km; Australian M55 to M70 8kms; Australian M75 and over 4kms
